Carpet Repairs and Re-installations

Accom cleaning concepts is trained and certified in all carpet repairs and reinstallations.  All carpet repairs and reinstallation methods are conducted according to requirements set out by IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification) and the Australian and New Zealand Standard for Textile Floor Coverings – Installation Practices AS/NZS 2455:1: 1995.

 A very common occurrence is the number of carpets we come across that have lost their stretch and have ripples and bubbles.  In most cases these problems are caused by improper installation.  There are many carpet layers that don’t use the power stretch method as outlined in the IICRC standards.  When carpets are not stretched correctly and ripples and bubbles occur, this can drastically reduce the life of your carpet.  Wear and tear will become more evident and cleaning and maintenance becomes more difficult.

We also specialize in the reinstallation of carpets after disasters such as water damage and fire/smoke restoration.  In some cases it may be necessary to remove the carpet and/or the underlay for successful restoration to take place.
